I Spent 20 Years Mastering the Old Game. Now, We Build the Future.

My name is Juan Panesso. If you’ve bought a cigar online in the last two decades, there is a good chance our paths have crossed.

Twenty years ago, I started my journey in the cigar industry in a 10x10 room with two fold-out tables and a box of packing peanuts. It was a family operation, and we didn't have a massive warehouse or a corporate team. We just had hustle.

Over the next two decades, I helped grow that small room into one of the industry's leading online retailers. I wore every hat you can imagine, from packing the boxes and managing the website to traveling the world and building personal relationships with the legends in Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Honduras.

I learned this business from the ground up, one customer interaction at a time. But as I looked toward the next 20 years, I realized it was time to build something that combined that old-school expertise with a modern, intelligent philosophy.

That is why I founded CigarStacks.

Why "Stacks"? The Double Meaning.

We get asked about the name a lot. It isn't just a catchy word; it is the core philosophy of how we operate. It has two meanings, one from the world of Technology, and one from the world of Tobacco.

1. The Tech Definition ( The Philosophy) In the world of Artificial Intelligence, "Stacking" (or stacked generalization) is a powerful technique. It involves combining multiple different models into one superior system. You take the unique strengths of different algorithms and layer them together to make better decisions and achieve higher performance.

We apply this exact mindset to your humidor. We don't just sell random cigars; we build "Stacks." We combine the bold strength of a Nicaraguan puro with the creamy notes of a Dominican shade to create a rotation that performs perfectly for every occasion. We leverage the unique strengths of different brands to build you a "Meta-Collection" that is better than the sum of its parts.

2. The Physical Definition (The Inventory) In our facility, a "Stack" represents abundance and readiness. It is the sight of premium cedar boxes stacked high in our climate-controlled environment, perfectly humidified and ready to ship.
