Twenty years ago, I started in a 10x10 room with two fold-out tables and a box of packing peanuts.

I worked alongside my brothers-in-law — packing orders, creating the ads, keeping the website up, building the relationships that grew our family business. I was there because it was family. I knew nothing about cigars, and I didn’t love them.

That came later. Two things did it.

The first was Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Standing on factory floors, watching a cigar get rolled by hand, one at a time — finally understanding the trade behind the boxes I’d been shipping for years.

The second was the people. Growers, rollers, manufacturers, reps — and customers. The ones who took the time to get to know the person on the other side of the phone. The ones who’d spot me at a lounge and come over to say hello. Twenty years of them. Some of the best relationships in my life came out of this business.

I came for family. I stayed for the trade and the people in it.

Cigar Stacks is new. The twenty years behind it aren’t.

New humidor. Same hands, same care, and the same hard-earned sense of which cigars are worth your money.

Cigars ship out of a working humidor, not off a warehouse shelf.

The specs are the real ones — length, ring gauge, wrapper, strength. You shouldn’t have to guess what’s in the box.

Something shows up wrong, we fix it. No questions asked. And you’re talking to me, not a ticket number.

The hard part of buying cigars online has always been the same: you know what you like, but you have no idea what else you’d like. Twenty years behind a counter is twenty years of answering that in person — What are you smoking now? What’d you think of it? Alright, try this.
